Hi everyone, a quick update re. surveys and timescales.
The Backerkit page has now been submitted for review - this takes a few days.
Assuming everything is OK, I will then send a smoke test survey out to those who've volunteered, so we can ensure questions, layouts, etc look good.
This means we're looking at around 2nd Sept for the surveys to be sent to everyone for completion.
Ideally, we'd have all surveys complete by 17th Sept, but we appreciate life gets in the way, so please complete them as soon as possible.
Print runs will be ordered mid/late Sept, delivered mid/late Oct, and fulfilled thereafter.
There are a series of postal strikes due in the UK over the next month or so. Hopefully, these won't affect anything, but we'll keep you informed if there is any slippage in dates.
Take care, everyone - please let us know if you have any questions.
Andy
Hi everyone, I've been working on the Backerkit survey this last week. There's a few complexities around the various add ons and options which has meant I've needed a bit of help from their support team.
I think everything is almost ready to go, but wondered if I could ask for a few volunteers to help with what's known as a smoke test. This is where a few people run through the survey to make sure the questions make sense, the logic is sound etc. It makes sure the responses will be more accurate which will help with fulfilment.
So if you would like to help with the survey, whether you have Backerkit experience or not, please drop me a reply to this update or a DM. If everything goes according to plan, the surveys will be out mid to late next week.
Thanks everyone, Andy.
Wow! The campaign just closed with 285% funding total - we are truly humbled and grateful for all your support and belief in the Reanimator Inc. series.
I will be sending out a Backerkit pledge manager survey over the next few days, so hold tight. Meanwhile, Lyndon will be putting the finishing touches to the book so we can get everything printed.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or feedback, please let us know.
Thank you once again!
Andy
Hey everyone,
We are into the final 37 hours of the Kickstarter campaign and have hit our 4th stretch goal! As always, thank you all so much for supporting us, the book and making this series come to life. Myself and Andy have poured a lot into Chapter Two and are really looking forward to sharing this next part of the story and digging deeper into other realms and "The Beyond".
As we start to wrap up the Kickstarter campaign, Andy will be sending out Kickstarter surveys shortly after the campaign ends and generally handing the admin side of things. Meanwhile, I will focus on finishing the last few design aspects of the book and making sure everything is 100% ready for print. A divide and conquer approach.
In the meantime I'll leave you all with our final Kickstarter recommendation of this campaign, Ichabod Jones: The complete Lovecraftian dark-fantasy comic, which you can check out below.
Thanks again and see you all at the finish line.
Lyndon
----------------------
A Lovecraftian dark fantasy horror-comedy inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Dreamlands and Cthulhu mythos but set in a Christian Apocalypse.
Ichabod Jones is about a mental patient that escapes an asylum and becomes a monster hunter during the Apocalypse, but doesn't know if he's killing monsters, humans, or if it's all in his head the whole time. It's a complete fantastical and psychological mindscrew.
Ichabod comes from a deep, almost primordial, place in my soul. It's the part that devours movies like In the Mouth of Madness, Event Horizon, and Jacob's Ladder, while still binging on Gravity Falls, Frankenweenie, and Army of Darkness. It's the part that read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and laughed hysterically at every gruesome scene.
